BioThis is Lee's NaNo journal. Currently only for 2005. Will probably just add the 2006 and 2007 ones here too. Because they'll be the sequels. Though I may do a prequel. Or something. This sounds like LotR. Heh. Oooops. I'll... like... go back and edit this. And sadly I have a huge cast list for this. ALL ORIGINAL AND ALL MINE! MUAHAHA. Um.... *slightly cough* Except for that one family... *cough* The Vailis. Karinen, Alaois (though they don't matter), Rathnait (who really seriously does), Eirean, and Altran are all Aubrey's. But I get to use them. Because... well. That's in the one I'm NOT writing this year. And anyway, Eirean and Altran aren't even thoughts at the moment. Well.... not in book thoughts. *ignores the out-of-book side*

- Brightstar Rising~~In Kalenes, there is a legend of the Brightstar, a light mage from thousands of years ago who defeated Darkstone, a bloodpath mage who sought to destroy the kingdom. The legend is used as political weapon, given that Brightstar has achieved almost diety status. Thousands of years ago, the political climate was eerily similar... but without the legend. Cinaed Kaleaster stumbles upon his own intensely powerful gift of fire magic, and is thrown into a struggle for power as a weak, puppet king sits on the throne. His allies become his family... and they all stand at the edge of legend.
- Zenith of Power~~Tyroshaun Kaleaster has grown up at the center of all the political action in Kalenes... and wants exactly no part of it. He is perfectly happy trying to figure out why he has a knack for magic without any power of his own--though seemingly he also has a knack for trouble. Besides, he has Rathnait Vaili, duchess-to-be, to deal with. But more and more, as his father tries to get him to respond to the growing thread of Magar Kegelith--the heir to the Kaleasters' political enemies--Tyroshaun wants only to research magic in peace... beginning with his own.
- Starfall~~Seven years ago Tyroshaun Kaleaster left Kalenes to find out more about his elusive light magic. He left behind a deteriorating marriage to Rathnait Vaili, the young duchess now heading a political faction. Kalenes is, in many ways, exactly the same as he left it... but for him personally, it is a different universe. With twin children he never knew of, one with light magic, and a marriage even worse off than when he left, Tyroshaun can't see much reason to live. Unfortunately, he's too close to the center of power, and his actions have father reaching effects than he knows... and Magar Kegelith, now defending his control from the Kaleaster family, is willing to eliminate anyone in his way. The now longstanding Kegelith-Kaleaster feud finally plays out as a legend is woven.
